Terms of Service
Welcome to Raceef. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Raceef mobile applications, website, AI assistant, and related services (collectively, the "Services"), operated by Raceef Corporation, a corporation incorporated in the State of Oklahoma, United States ("Raceef", "we", "us", or "our").
By creating an account, accessing, or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Community Guidelines. Please read them carefully.
Important. These Terms contain an agreement to resolve most disputes through arbitration (Section 19) and a waiver of jury trials and class actions (Section 19). They also explain how we limit our liability (Section 17). Read these sections carefully because they affect your legal rights.
If you do not agree with these Terms, do not use the Services.
1. About Raceef
Raceef is a social commerce platform that combines:
- A social network built on the decentralized AT Protocol, where you can post, follow, message, and share content.
- A marketplace where independent sellers offer products, services, and bookable appointments.
- A booking system that lets sellers (such as salons, restaurants, freelancers, and other service providers) manage availability and accept appointments.
- An AI assistant called "Lamp" that helps sellers set up and run their shops.
- Live broadcasting, voice and video calls, stories, voice messages, and other communication features.
Raceef is operated by Raceef Corporation. Some social-protocol behaviors are inherited from the AT Protocol (originally developed by Bluesky, PBC). Raceef is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Bluesky, PBC.
2. Who can use Raceef
2.1 Age
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. In some jurisdictions, the minimum age is higher; you must meet your local minimum.
We ask for your year of birth at signup. If we discover an account belongs to a user who does not meet the minimum age, we will remove the account.
Sellers who accept payments through Stripe must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where they live) due to payment processor requirements.
2.2 Capacity to agree
You must have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms in your jurisdiction. If you are using Raceef on behalf of a company, organization, or government entity, you confirm that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
2.3 Restricted jurisdictions
Raceef may not be available in countries that are subject to comprehensive trade sanctions by the United States. You may not use Raceef if you are located in a sanctioned country or are on a restricted-party list.
3. Your account
3.1 Account creation
To use most features, you create an account with a handle, an email address, a year of birth, and a password. Your account is linked to a DID (Decentralized Identifier) issued by the AT Protocol, which allows account portability.
3.2 Account security
You are responsible for keeping your password and account credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us at support@raceef.com if you suspect unauthorized access. We are not liable for losses caused by stolen or shared credentials.
3.3 One person, one account
Each account should belong to one person or one legitimate business. Operating multiple accounts to evade moderation, manipulate the platform, or impersonate others is prohibited.
3.4 Identity verification
Some features require additional verification. Sellers who accept card payments through Stripe must complete identity verification (KYC) including, in most cases, providing government-issued identification, residential address, and tax identification.
4. Your content
4.1 You own your content
You retain ownership of the content you post on Raceef. "Content" means posts, replies, products, shop information, photos, videos, audio recordings, voice messages, comments, live broadcasts, stories, profile information, and any other material you create, upload, or share through the Services.
4.2 License you grant to Raceef
By posting content on Raceef, you grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sub-licensable license to:
- Operate, host, and display your content on Raceef and across the AT Protocol, in the formats and media we use for the Services.
- Adapt and transform your content as needed for technical operation (resizing images, transcoding videos, generating thumbnails, indexing).
- Promote Raceef and your content within Raceef (for example, featuring posts or sellers in discovery surfaces, with attribution).
- Enable trusted moderation partners to review your content as needed to enforce our Terms and Community Guidelines.
- Enforce our policies by removing, blocking, or modifying content that we believe violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines.
This license ends when you delete your content or your account, except as needed to:
- Retain copies in backup systems for the retention periods described in our Privacy Policy;
- Keep records of transactions, orders, bookings, payments, and disputes as required by law;
- Preserve evidence of serious violations during ongoing investigations or appeals.
We will not sell your content to a third party without your permission.
4.3 You're responsible for your content
You confirm that you have all rights, licenses, consents, and releases necessary to post your content and to grant the license in Section 4.2. You are responsible for the legality, accuracy, and appropriateness of everything you post.
4.4 Most content is public
Most content on Raceef is public by default. Posts, profiles, shops, products, services, follows, likes, and reposts are visible to anyone on the internet, including non-users and other AT Protocol applications. Treat anything you post as public.
4.5 Direct messages are private
Direct messages between users are not posted to the AT Protocol network and are not publicly visible. However, direct messages may be accessed by our trust and safety team if reported by a participant or as part of an investigation into a serious violation (such as imminent harm, child safety, or fraud).
4.6 Content deletion and the AT Protocol
When you delete content from Raceef, we will use reasonable efforts to remove it from our systems and notify other AT Protocol applications. Because the AT Protocol is decentralized, we cannot guarantee that other applications, archivers, or third parties will also delete the content. We are not responsible for content that persists outside our control.
4.7 AI-generated content
When you use Lamp (our AI assistant), Lamp may generate content for you — such as suggested product descriptions, shop names, marketing text, or images. You are responsible for AI-generated content you publish under your account. Review and edit AI suggestions before publishing them. AI outputs may contain errors, inaccuracies, or content that does not match your business; do not publish AI output you have not reviewed.
We do not train AI models on your private messages or your AI conversations. See our Privacy Policy for details.
4.8 Music and audio in posts and videos
Our in-app video editor lets you add audio clips to videos. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to use any music or audio you add to your content. Do not upload, attach, or use copyrighted music or sound recordings without the rightsholder's permission. We may remove content that infringes copyrights and take action against repeat infringers.
5. The marketplace: buying and selling
Raceef provides a marketplace where independent sellers offer products, services, and bookable appointments. Raceef is a marketplace operator. We are not the seller or service provider for items sold by other users.
5.1 If you are a buyer
When you place an order or book a service, you enter into a contract directly with the seller, not with Raceef. Raceef facilitates discovery, payment, and communication, but the seller is responsible for fulfilling the order.
Payment. You can pay using a debit or credit card processed by Stripe, or, where the seller has enabled it, by Cash on Delivery (COD). Card payments are charged at the time of order placement. COD payments are made directly to the seller on delivery; Raceef does not process or guarantee COD payments.
Order confirmation, fulfillment, and shipping. Sellers set their own confirmation, preparation, shipping, and delivery timelines. The seller's shop page and order confirmation will display these timelines.
Cancellation, returns, and refunds. Each seller sets a return and refund policy, displayed on their shop page and product listings. If a transaction goes wrong, contact the seller first. If you cannot resolve it, you can:
- Open a dispute through Raceef using the in-app "Get help with this order" flow.
- File a chargeback with your card issuer (subject to Stripe's chargeback process and the card network's rules).
- Contact us at support@raceef.com if you believe a seller has acted fraudulently.
For consumers in the European Union and the United Kingdom, you have additional rights under consumer protection law, including a right to a refund for goods that are faulty, not as described, or not delivered. These rights are not affected by our marketplace structure.
For consumers in Morocco, your rights under loi 31-08 édictant des mesures de protection du consommateur are not affected by these Terms.
Bookings. When you book a service, you reserve a specific time with a specific seller. Cancellation rules depend on the seller's policy and the time remaining before the appointment. If you cancel within the seller's "full refund window", you receive a full refund minus any non-refundable processing fees. Outside that window, partial refunds or no refund may apply.
No-shows. If you do not show up for a booking without cancelling, the seller may charge the full booking amount under their no-show policy. Late arrivals beyond a seller's grace period may also forfeit the booking.
5.2 If you are a seller
By becoming a seller, you also agree to our Seller Terms (Section 6).
6. Seller Terms
These additional terms apply if you sell products, services, or bookings through Raceef.
6.1 Your shop, your business
You operate your shop as an independent business. You are responsible for:
- The legality of the products and services you offer in every jurisdiction where you accept orders.
- Accurate descriptions, prices, photos, stock levels, and availability.
- Tax registration, collection, and remittance where required by applicable law. Where Raceef collects sales tax or VAT on your behalf through Stripe Tax, we will inform you, but you remain responsible for your tax obligations.
- Compliance with consumer protection law, including disclosure requirements, withdrawal rights, and return policies.
- Fulfilling orders and providing services to the standard you have advertised.
- Maintaining the security of your seller account and Stripe connection.
6.2 Identity verification
To accept card payments, you must complete Stripe's identity verification process. Until verification is complete, your shop may be limited to COD or other non-card payment methods.
6.3 Platform fees
Raceef charges a platform fee on transactions processed through the Services. The current fee structure is published in the in-app pricing page and is incorporated by reference into these Terms. We may update the fee structure with notice, and updates apply to transactions occurring after the effective date of the update.
You authorize us (and our payment processors) to deduct platform fees from transactions before payouts are sent to you.
6.4 Payouts
Payouts are processed by Stripe to a bank account or supported payout destination that you connect to your Stripe Connect account. Payout timing, currency, and methods are subject to Stripe's policies and to applicable banking regulations.
6.5 Disputes, refunds, and chargebacks
You are responsible for handling buyer disputes, refunds, and chargebacks on your transactions. Raceef may step in to mediate when:
- The buyer and seller cannot resolve the dispute directly;
- The transaction involves suspected fraud;
- A buyer files a chargeback with their card issuer.
Excessive chargebacks, fraud reports, or unresolved disputes can result in restrictions on your seller account, including suspension or termination.
6.6 Prohibited items and activities
You may not list, sell, or attempt to sell:
- Items that are illegal in your jurisdiction or the buyer's jurisdiction;
- Counterfeit, replica, or unauthorized goods;
- Weapons, ammunition, explosives, or related accessories where local law prohibits online sale;
- Controlled substances, illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia, or prescription medications;
- Live animals (subject to local exceptions for licensed sellers);
- Items that infringe intellectual property rights;
- Stolen goods;
- Items that promote hate, violence, or harm;
- Adult sexual content, pornography, or sexual services;
- Services that violate any applicable law (including gambling, money laundering, or financial fraud);
- Cryptocurrency, financial securities, or regulated financial products;
- Personal data of other people.
This list is illustrative, not exhaustive. We may remove listings and suspend accounts at our discretion based on our policies and applicable law.
6.7 Reviews and ratings
Buyers may leave reviews and ratings on your shop and products. You may not solicit, incentivize, or manipulate reviews. You may respond publicly to reviews. Raceef reserves the right to remove fake, abusive, or policy-violating reviews.
6.8 Termination of seller status
We may suspend or terminate your seller status (without terminating your buyer account) for violations of these Seller Terms or our other policies. Pending orders at the time of suspension will be handled according to our buyer protection policy.
7. The AI assistant (Lamp)
Lamp is an AI assistant that helps you set up your shop, generate product content, manage bookings, draft messages to customers, and more.
7.1 How Lamp works
When you send a message to Lamp, your message and relevant context (such as your shop type and existing products) are processed by our AI provider (currently Anthropic) to generate a response. Conversations are stored in your account so they can continue across sessions.
7.2 Lamp is a tool, not advice
Lamp's output is generated by a machine learning model and may contain errors, inaccuracies, or content that does not fit your situation. Lamp is not a substitute for professional legal, financial, medical, accounting, or other advice. You are responsible for the content you publish, the decisions you make, and the consequences of relying on Lamp's output.
7.3 No training on your private content
We do not use your private messages, your AI conversations with Lamp, your direct messages, or your account-private data to train AI models. We may use public posts and shop content for service improvement and aggregated, de-identified analytics, consistent with our Privacy Policy.
7.4 Usage limits
Lamp usage may be subject to daily or monthly limits depending on your subscription tier. Limits are published in the in-app pricing page.
8. Live broadcasting, voice and video calls, stories, voice messages
These features let you communicate with other users in real time or near-real time.
8.1 Behavior
When you broadcast, call, or send voice messages, you remain bound by our Community Guidelines and these Terms. Do not broadcast or share illegal content, content that infringes others' rights, content that exposes others' personal information without consent, or content that violates our policies.
8.2 Moderation of live broadcasts
We may pause, end, or restrict a live broadcast in real time if it appears to violate our policies, if it is reported by viewers, or if it presents an imminent risk to safety. Repeat or severe violations may lead to broadcaster suspension.
8.3 Recording
By default, Raceef does not record your live broadcasts, calls, or voice messages on our servers beyond what is necessary to deliver them. If we add a recording feature in the future, we will disclose it and obtain consent where required.
8.4 Consent
Other participants in your conversations have not consented to having their voice, video, or messages re-published outside Raceef. You may not record or republish other users' content without their consent and without complying with applicable wiretapping and consent laws.
9. Subscriptions and paid features
Raceef offers paid subscription tiers (such as "Creator Pro" and "Business Pro") with additional features and lower platform fees.
9.1 Billing
Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually). On Apple iOS, billing is processed through the Apple App Store. On Android, billing is processed through Google Play. On the web, billing is processed through Stripe.
9.2 Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep access to paid features until then.
9.3 Refunds
Refunds on subscriptions are handled by the platform that processed the original payment (Apple, Google, or Stripe) under their refund policies. For purchases through the Apple App Store, refund requests must go to Apple. For Google Play purchases, refund requests must go to Google. For web (Stripe) purchases, contact us within 14 days of the original charge.
EU and UK consumers have additional withdrawal rights under consumer protection law; these rights are not affected.
9.4 Price changes
We may change subscription prices with at least 30 days' notice to existing subscribers. If you do not agree with the new price, you may cancel before it takes effect.
10. Acceptable use and prohibited activities
You agree not to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation;
- Infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights;
- Post or share content that is illegal, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, hateful, obscene, sexually explicit, or that exploits children;
- Engage in spam, mass messaging, repetitive automated posting, or coordinated inauthentic behavior;
- Use the Services to distribute malware, phishing attempts, or other harmful code;
- Bypass, disable, or circumvent any security or access control;
- Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from Raceef beyond what is permitted by our Robots.txt, our API terms, or the AT Protocol;
- Reverse engineer the Services except as permitted by applicable law;
- Use the Services to commit fraud, money laundering, or other financial crimes;
- Use the Services to harm minors in any way;
- Operate fake accounts, impersonate others, or misrepresent your identity;
- Manipulate metrics (likes, follows, reviews, orders) through bots, paid engagement, or other fraudulent means;
- Interfere with other users' ability to use the Services.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.
11. Reports and appeals
11.1 Reporting content or behavior
If you see content or behavior that violates our policies, you can report it through the in-app "Report" button on any post, profile, or shop, or by emailing support@raceef.com. Provide as much detail as possible.
11.2 Appeals
If we take action against your content or account, we will tell you what action we took and why (within the constraints of applicable law and the protection of other users). You may appeal through Settings → Account → Appeals or by emailing support@raceef.com. We aim to review appeals within 14 days.
11.3 Out-of-court dispute resolution (EEA users)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you may have the right to use out-of-court dispute resolution under the EU Digital Services Act (DSA). The relevant body in your member state will be identified in our Transparency Reports.
12. Copyright and intellectual property
12.1 DMCA (United States)
If you are a copyright owner and believe content on Raceef infringes your work, send a written notice to our DMCA agent at dmca@raceef.com with:
- Your physical or electronic signature;
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed;
- Identification of the material on Raceef that you claim is infringing, with enough detail for us to find it (URLs are best);
- Your contact information (address, phone, email);
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized;
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
We may suspend or terminate accounts of repeat infringers.
12.2 Counter-notification
If you believe content you posted was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notification to dmca@raceef.com. We will follow the DMCA's counter-notification procedure.
12.3 Abusive takedown notices
We disregard takedown notices that we determine to be sent in bad faith, are not properly verified, or that misuse copyright law to suppress lawful content. Repeated abusive takedown attempts can result in restrictions on your account.
12.4 Other jurisdictions
If you are outside the United States, the same notice procedure applies and we will respect the equivalent local procedures (such as the EU Digital Services Act notice-and-action mechanism). For Morocco, send copyright notices to dmca@raceef.com.
12.5 Raceef's intellectual property
Raceef, including its name, logo, brand assets, software, designs, and content created by us, is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive license to use Raceef in accordance with these Terms. We reserve all rights not expressly granted.
Some Raceef components are based on open source software, including software originally released by Bluesky, PBC under permissive licenses (MIT, Apache 2.0). Use of those components is governed by their respective licenses.
13. Account termination
13.1 By you
You may delete your account at any time through Settings → Account → Delete account. Deletion starts a 30-day grace period during which you can cancel. After that, we delete or anonymize your information as described in our Privacy Policy.
13.2 By us
We may suspend or terminate your account if:
- You violate these Terms or our policies;
- We are required to do so by law;
- We discontinue the Services or a specific feature;
- Your account presents fraud, security, or safety risks.
For non-severe violations, we will give you notice and an opportunity to fix the issue. For severe violations (such as illegal activity, child safety violations, or imminent harm), we may suspend or terminate immediately and without notice.
13.3 Effect of termination
When your account ends:
- Public content is removed from Raceef, subject to the AT Protocol limitations described in Section 4.6;
- Pending orders and bookings are handled according to our buyer and seller protection policies;
- Subscriptions are cancelled at the end of the current billing period (except in cases of severe violation, where they may be cancelled immediately);
- Some information may be retained as described in our Privacy Policy.
14. Changes to the Services
We may change, add, or remove features at any time, with or without notice. We may also suspend the Services for maintenance. We will use reasonable efforts to provide notice for material changes.
If a change materially reduces functionality you rely on, you may delete your account. Continued use after a change means you accept the change.
15. Third-party services
Raceef integrates with or links to third-party services (payment processors, app stores, cloud providers, AI providers, and others). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for the practices or content of third-party services.
Sellers may also link to third-party sites or services from their shops. We do not control those and do not endorse them.
16. Disclaimers
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy.
We do not warrant that:
- The Services will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free;
- Content posted by other users is accurate, lawful, or appropriate;
- AI output (including Lamp) is accurate, complete, or fit for any particular use;
- Products and services offered by sellers will meet your expectations or comply with all applicable laws.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties; in those jurisdictions, the exclusions in this section apply only to the maximum extent permitted by law.
17. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Raceef is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Services.
- Raceef's total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid to Raceef in the twelve months before the event that gave rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars ($100 USD).
These limits apply even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages and even if a limited remedy fails its essential purpose.
Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations; in those jurisdictions, the limits apply only to the maximum extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, fraud, or any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (including liability to consumers under EU, UK, or Moroccan consumer law).
18. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Raceef, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, and contractors from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:
- Your content;
- Your use of the Services;
- Your violation of these Terms or our policies;
- Your violation of any law or any third party's rights;
- If you are a seller, your products, services, or representations to buyers.
We reserve the right to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to indemnification, in which case you will cooperate with us in asserting any available defenses.
19. Dispute resolution and arbitration
19.1 Informal resolution first
If you have a dispute with us, please first contact us at support@raceef.com and try to resolve it informally. Most disputes can be resolved this way within 30 days.
19.2 Arbitration
If we cannot resolve a dispute informally within 60 days, you and Raceef agree to resolve any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services through binding individual arbitration, rather than in court, except:
- Claims that qualify for small-claims court in the claimant's local jurisdiction may be brought there;
- Either party may seek injunctive relief in court to protect intellectual property rights;
- Where mandatory consumer law in your jurisdiction requires that disputes be heard in local courts, that law prevails.
Arbitration will be administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, with the seat of arbitration in Delaware, United States. The arbitration may be conducted in person, by videoconference, or by written submissions, at the claimant's option.
You and Raceef each have the right to choose one arbitrator, and the two chosen arbitrators will jointly choose a third. The decision of the panel is final and binding.
19.3 Class action waiver
You and Raceef agree that disputes will be resolved on an individual basis only, not as part of a class, consolidated, or representative action.
19.4 30-day opt-out
You can opt out of this arbitration agreement and class action waiver by sending us a written notice within 30 days of first creating your account. Email legal@raceef.com with your name, account handle, and a statement that you opt out of arbitration. Opting out does not affect any other provision of these Terms.
19.5 Jurisdiction-specific exceptions
- EU and UK consumers: You may also bring proceedings against us in your country of residence. EU consumers may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform (https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr).
- Moroccan consumers: Your rights under Moroccan consumer protection law (including the right to bring proceedings before Moroccan courts) are not affected.
20. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles, except:
- Where mandatory consumer protection law in your jurisdiction (such as in the EU, UK, or Morocco) gives you protections that cannot be overridden by contract, those protections continue to apply.

22.2 Severability
If any part of these Terms is held unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
22.3 No waiver
Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.

You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
22.5 Updates to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on our website and in the app and update the "Last updated" date. For material changes, we will give you advance notice (such as through an in-app notice or email).
